The Artists for Conservation Festival is an extraordinary 10-day international art and environmental education event that immerses visitors in nature through workshops, film, and a world-class art exhibit.
Hosted at Grouse Mountain Resort in Vancouver, BC Canada from October 15 - 20th, the festival features an exciting program for youth, students and families and features the art of some of the leading nature and wildlife artists and naturalists from around the world.
Festival visitors will have the opportunity to view, compare and discuss the world's top nature and wildlife art, learn about conservation issues, participate in hands-on workshops, listen to inspiring lectures, watch demos and documentaries, win exciting prizes including a Robert Bateman original, and directly support conservation work and AFC through the purchase of artwork and festival merchandise.
The Festival's highlights include:
•The world's top annual conservation-themed art exhibit featuring over 70 original artworks for sale by over 50 master artists from around the globe
•10 days of inspiring art and environmental programs for youth, students and families including hands-on workshops with master artists, sharing their techniques and perspectives on art, nature, and their conservation work.
•An opening keynote address by world renowned artist, naturalist and author, Robert Bateman
•A rare opportunity to meet the masters and see them in action during intimate live demonstrations
•The world premier screening of How an Artist Saved the Mountain Gorilla - Retracing the Steps of Carl Akeley
•First Nations dance, live music, guest lecturers, guided exhibit tours, black-tie fundraising gala and more..
