JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS - Season of Literary Classics Student Matinees
Description
Don’t let the classical title scare you. This is contemporary comedy at its best as two actors with supersonic energy take you through a “totally brilliant stage production...” (The Herald). This re-telling of the ancient Greek myth is hugely physical and relentlessly funny.
This dynamic duo makes the Waterfront Theatre their playground, gleefully recreating the epic tale of Jason’s perilous journey on the Argo in search of the Golden Fleece, so he can claim his rightful throne. Using both action figures and their own physical ingenuity, these swashbucklers barrel their way through dozens of characters at breakneck speed, battling mischievous sea monsters, harrowing harpies, a villainous uncle and, ultimately, the challenge of their lives.
