Spring Discovery Days

Description

Teachers and parents lead groups of 10-12 children around the entire museum site during these self-guided visits. Historical interpreters are stationed in many exhibits and explain aspects of life in a 1920s urban community. Allow 2 1/2 to 3 hours for the visit, which includes a ride on the 1912 carousel and ahand-made Christmas craft.

Additional Notes This program adapts well for children,adults and advanced ESL.Students are admitted in groups of 50 at various times between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm Allow at least 2 and a half hours to 3 per visit The program is offered from May 8th to June 29th. As the students will be outside for part of the time, please ensure they are dressed appropriately for the current weather conditions Note we are closed on Mondays

Fee Notes The cost is $8.50 per student which includes a carousel ride. Escorting adults are admitted free of charge in the following ratios : K-Grade 1 and car pools ---one adult per four participants ---others one adult per 10 participants.
