Conservation of endangered Canadian Wildlife Species, A Guided Educational Tour for Students.

Offered by Mountain View Conservation and Education Centre and last updated on January 29, 2012.

Description

IN 2012, we will provide you and your students with a two-hour narrated, audio visual educational presentation about of the work of our Conservation Centre, that includes a short walking tour, and an extended tram-tour of our Conservatory facilities. Students will be able to see the habitats of the Northern Spotted Owls and the Vancouver Island Marmots. Mountain View operates several Canadian Wildlife Conservation programs in partnership with B.C.'s Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment. We are saving red-listed species from extinction, by breeding and then returning the offspring back into the wilds of BC. Additionally, we offer an optional 'Wetlands Adventure' for Grade 7 students. Please ask us for more info. In 2012, our focus is on saving local wildlife species in BC that are facing extinction, including Northern Spotted Owls, Vancouver Island Marmots, and Oregon Spotted Frogs. Our Narrated/Guided tours feature 'Our Connections to Nature' an up-to-date presentation about conservation of the environment, habitat conservation, healthy ecosystems, in BC and Canada.
