| Other Registration Info | Please book early as possible, we have limited capacity and can only run two student tours daily, at 9.00 or 10.00am, and 12.noon or 1.00pm. We are flexible, so you can arrive early for the tours if that is more convenient to you timewise. We also offer picnic facilities for your student group at Mountain View for lunch, and if you have a very large group, we can arrange to split your tour into groups so that all students can experience our facility. For us to do that, it would help if you could book both tour times, in other words book the facility exclusively for your school that day - please give us lots of advance notice. We would then name that day after your school name, I.E. Robert Bateman School Day at Mountain View Conservation. Extra teachers and parents are welcome depending on available spaces. Thank you. 2010 Tours Please Note: Operating since 1986, we will be saying farewell to all our exotic species that we have been raising for the past 25 years. Those world renowned Breeding and specie recovery programs include the critically endangered Mhorr Gazelle, Addax Antalope and Scimitar Horned Gazelle, not to forget Ivan, our Indian Rhinoceros, They will all be leaving Mountain View this spring and Summer. This will be you and your students last opportunity to see all these unique animals. Onwards, we shall be focussing entirely on Red-Listed local BC wildlife species that are facing extinction, including the Northern Spotted Owl, Spotted frogs and the Vancouver Island Marmots. Our 2010 tour includes up to date information about conservation of the environment, habitat conservation, healthy ecosystems, in BC and Canada. |
