THE HERO IN YOU TOUR IS THE IDEAL WAY TO INTRODUCE THE BC SPORTS HALL OF FAME TO YOUR STUDENTS. The field trip includes a tour of 14 History Galleries focusing on the and lessons of our Hero in You athletes, such as Rick Hansen, Lori Fung, Debbie Brill and many others. Students will learn about the courage to come back (Karen Magnusen), the importance of social responsibility (Daniel Igali) and the power of play (Silken Laumann).

THE TERRY FOX TOUR IS THE IDEAL WAY TO INSPIRE YOUR STUDENTS. The field trip highlights the story of the Marathon of Hope and has students learning from the only permanent gallery dedicated to this great Canadian Hero. After their visit, your students will be asked to think about Terry's unique story and how they can use the lessons learned to achieve personal goals. The tour traces Terry's Marathon of Hope across the country. Using artifacts, photographs, video, and Terry's personal journal entries students learn why Terry Fox is a national hero.

DURING THE OLYMPIC INSPIRATIONS EDUCATION PROGRAM STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT BRITISH COLUMBIA'S OLYMPIC HISTORY AND THE IMPORTANCE OF GOAL SETTING IN ACHIEVING THEIR PERSONAL DREAMS. A few things you need to know: During the two-hour guided field trip: - students will see Olympic medals, Olympic uniforms, Olympic torches, Olympic posters and more - students participate in an Olympic History Scavenger Hunt - complete a mini research project on a BC Olympian - test their athletic skills in the Participation Gallery

THIS FIELD TRIP CELEBRATES THE BIG MOMENTS (SO FAR) IN BC SPORT HISTORY. Students will learn about BC's first and second Stanley Cup victories, Percy William's double gold Olympic victory and how this 18 year old helped put Vancouver on the international sporting map, why the '54 Miracle Mile is still considered one of the best sporting events ever, the BC Lions' first Grey Cup win and more. After the tour the students' Big Moments in BC Sports knowledge will be tested by playing a giant trivia game.
