Open to secondary students learning about marketing and business, Marketing Day at Playland is a great opportunity for students to learn about how marketing and business apply in an amusement park setting. This year's program will take place on Wednesday May 25th, 2011 from 10am to 2pm, with some brief opening remarks at 9:45am. Group are encouraged to register early as space is limited.

The Pacific National Exhibition, in partnership with the University of British Columbia is proud to announce the 5th annual B.C’s Brightest Minds Competition at Playland on Tuesday May 3rd, 2011. The competition features teams of two physics students from schools across British Columbia competing for cash prizes and the title of BC's Brightests Minds.

Playland presents Amusement Park Science & Physics, an enrichment experience designed to enhance your student’s knowledge and understanding, and to demonstrate how the Science & Physics they learn in the classroom applies to the world around them. Since 1988, over 100,000 students from BC have experienced Science of Fun and Science & Physics Days at Playland. Students can learn about the acceleration on the Roller Coaster and G-force on the Hellevator. A curriculum guide is provided with grade appropriate experiments developed by Jim Wiese, author of Amusement Park Science, and hosted by Playland.
