Our Field Trips

  • In this five hour program students will examine the water quality of several outdoor sites and use the scientific method to form a hypothesis. These junior scientists will conduct water quality tests, collect aquatic insects, identify insects as bioindicators, and interpret data in order to draw a conclusion regarding the health of a freshwater ecosystem. We use real live stream (Lonzo/Marshall Creek) and on-site ponds as teaching tools! For more information or to book a program please contact our Visitor Centre at 604-504-4716 or email Visit.Fraservalley@gofishbc.com

This program includes information on environmental conservation and hatchery roles and students will learn through a number of hands-on activities including a hatchery tour with live fish aquaria, decomposition rate board, 'pollution soup' demonstration, and scavenger hunt. For more information or to book a program please contact our Visitor Centre at 604-504-4716 or email Visit.Fraservalley@gofishbc.com
