BEYOND THE STOREFRONTS SCAVENGER HUNT With the assistance of local Vancouver historian John Atkin, we have developed a history tour that incorporates a scavenger hunt at Metropolis at Metrotown. By incorporating history based clues and word jumbles, the "Beyond the Storefronts Scavenger Hunt" is a free, educational adventure that provides students (age 12+) the opportunity to discover that the origins of the Metropolis at Metrotown complex dating back over 54 years. Students participate either individually or in groups (groups of 5 students or less recommended), to follow the clues, solve the word jumble and/or retrieve the scavenger hunt item. At the end of the Scavenger Hunt and at the discretion of the teacher/group leader a final prize is to be distributed. 14 days notice is required.
