British Columbia is bear country! Learn about these magnificent animals that are icons of the wilderness. Discover basic bear biology and learn about a black bear’s life cycle and seasonal habits. We share the best practices for exploring in bear habitat, how to identify the signs of bears and what to do in an encounter. Your class will also learn how to responsibly coexist with one of BC’s largest mammals.
