Program Description

We offer day programs and 1-4 night overnight programs for schools, groups, home-schoolers, college and university groups. Students engage in hands-on, experiential learning in the outdoors by learning new skills, building their teamwork and leadership capacity and challenging themselves. Activities are offered under the following topics, and can me mixed and matched: Outdoor Adventure: canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, camp craft, swimming, orienteering and archery. Teambuilding: high and low ropes, teambuilding sessions. Environmental Stewardship Programs: Owls of Camp Thunderbird, learning chain, the animal game, wonders of wildflowers, sensory nature walk and habitat fragmentation.

    Fee Notes: 

    Fees are based on length of stay. Day programs start at $49 and overnight programs start at $144. Fees include meals, accommodation, and programming. Teachers or adult chaperones accompanying the group within our supervision ratios (1:9 for overnight groups and 1:14 for day groups) attend at no cost. Additional chaperones on overnight trips are charged the participant rate.

    Additional Notes

    Day programs typically run from 9am to 4pm, and overnight programs start with arrival at 10am and departure at 2pm. Custom arrival and departure times are possible. We have capacity for groups of up to 180 students.
