Alpine: Manning Park Resort has some of the best snow conditions in B.C. We are located at a charmed intersection between the temperate coastal and dry desert interior regions, which means our powder is top notch! The Ski Hill, open from December to April, is located 10 km east of Manning Park Resort and offers excellent ski and snowboard terrain for beginners to advanced. Equipment rentals and lessons are available.

Snow Tubing: Located at the Ski Hill, the Polar Coaster is Manning Park Resort’s very own tube park. Enjoy a day of tubing on four beginner and advanced groomed runs. Lift service is provided so you can tube down and ride up. The Polar Coaster is open on weekends and holidays. Private Group bookings and Night Tubing rates are also available for the Polar Coaster. Please contact Group Services at least 2 weeks in advance.

We can accomodate 15-150 kids for free multi-sport play at 6 Pack Beach, where you'll never have to worry about the weather.

Choose from the following activities: Beach Volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, tug-o-war, sand castle building, relay races and more!

Ever wonder what the H.R. Macmillan Space Centre is like at night?

Your class will have the Space Centre all to themselves! Students will explore the Cosmic Courtyard, look through the ½ metre telescope in the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory (weather permitting), create a hands-on project, and end the night with an orientation to the night sky in our Planetarium. In the morning, a light breakfast is served followed by launching bottle rockets. Programming is ideally suited to grades 4 to 7 or ages 6 – 12 for community groups.

This interdisciplinary kit incorporates math and literacy skills into an exploration of life now and in the past and the changes that have shaped our community and environment.

We offer day programs and 1-4 night overnight programs for schools, groups, home-schoolers, college and university groups. Students engage in hands-on, experiential learning in the outdoors by learning new skills, building their teamwork and leadership capacity and challenging themselves. Activities are offered under the following topics, and can me mixed and matched: Outdoor Adventure: canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, camp craft, swimming, orienteering and archery. Teambuilding: high and low ropes, teambuilding sessions. Environmental Stewardship Programs: Owls of Camp Thunderbird, learning chain, the animal game, wonders of wildflowers, sensory nature walk and habitat fragmentation.

It is said that ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ but how do we actually learn from photographs? Using images from the North Vancouver Archives’ collection, students will explore Squamish themes and stories. The photographs feature local landscapes and individuals. Students will learn to analyze each image and to record relevant observations while learning aspects of Squamish culture. Topics include family life, education and art. The Kit includes lesson plans which encourage team work, group discussion and critical thinking.

Experience BC First Nations Culture

Cheakamus Centre is proud to facilitate a range of engaging indigenous educational experiences rooted in Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) culture. A variety of indigenous cultural programs for students and adults are available to enhance the experience in Skwxwú7mesh territory. Guided by First Nations interpreters, learners will be immersed in traditional Coast Salish practices, including activities within an authentic longhouse and surrounding rainforest ecological reserve.

Offerings range from the provincially recognized Skw'une-was Program for Grade 3 to 4 students, to our Overnight Indigenous Cultural Program for Grade 5 to 12 students, to educator workshops for adult groups. All programs are centered around sharing the beauty, depth and vibrancy of Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation culture in fun, interactive and engaging ways.

Camp Jubilee is a boat access only camp, located on 128 acres of Indian Arm oceanfront. We are a 45 minute boat ride from Cates Park, North Vancouver. Camp Jubilee provides overnight school programs from 1 – 4 nights for students from kindergarten to grade 12.  Our fully inclusive packages will provide your school with the highest quality of fun and engaging adventure activities. All our packages include your boat transportation, accommodations, meals, snacks, instructor led activities and of course our world famous campfire program! Students cabins are heated, have electricity and a two-peice bath. Teacher accomodations are in semi-private rooms in our lodge, including a teachers lounge with fireplace. Special diets can be accomodated.
