Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery

Our Trips

Start your morning off with the farmer at the Bakerview EcoDairy for a guided tour, movie and yogurt and milk tasting. Then head off to the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery for some hands on catch and release fishing. Off to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner and lastly an evening at the zoo with an interactive tour and a campfire.
There is also an additional option to have a sleep over at the zoo.

In this five hour program students will examine the water quality of several outdoor sites and use the scientific method to form a hypothesis. These junior scientists will conduct water quality tests, collect aquatic insects, identify insects as bioindicators, and interpret data in order to draw a conclusion regarding the health of a freshwater ecosystem. We use real live stream (Lonzo/Marshall Creek) and on-site ponds as teaching tools! For more information or to book a program please contact our Visitor Centre at 604-504-4716 or email Visit.Fraservalley@gofishbc.com
