Our Trips

This double tour experience is a longer visit, ideal for larger groups that can switch between the two areas. Students explore the treetop canopy of the temperate rainforest, our Garry Oak Ecosystem and our Food Garden. Students learn about the importance of forests and biodiversity, how trees clean our air and the interconnectedness of trees with people, plants and the planet. Students have a chance to see the variety of ways that people rely on plants for food and medicines.

UBC Botanical Garden is a great place to take your class. Whether you teach preschool, elementary, high school or post-secondary your classroom learning can be supported by our outdoor classroom.

Come discover our authentic Japanese garden. Stroll past lanterns, over bridges and pass beneath unique trees linking the east and west sides of the Pacific Ocean. The landscape design contains many thoughtful elements.  Dr. Nitobe was an influential person and this special place is worthwile for visitors of all ages.
