BMSC Live is an initiative of the Bamfield Marine Science Centre's National Award-Winning Field Trip Program. Connect your classroom to our laboratory-studio or come into the field with us for a variety of inspiring 45-60 min virtual learning experiences with live marine organisms, microscopy, video and other multimedia. Private sessions start at $150/session for K-12 and post-secondary schools, and $200/session for adult groups. BMSC Live! Invertebrate Diversity

Invertebrates make up over 90% of animal life on the planet!

Join us as we explore common marine inverts using our own collection! Students will learn about their classification, specilaized adaptations, and more.

Field trips for school groups

BMSC is currently closed to visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will not accept clients until April 1, 2021, at the earliest.

Currently, though, we are offering virtual field trips through out BMSC Live! program. These are delivered through Zoom and cover many of our regular field trip topics: including, but not limited to Marine Invertebrate Diversity, Oceanography, intertidal ecology, Plankton studies, Seaweeds, and more!
