Program Description

Nikkei (Japanese Canadians) have a long history in North Vancouver. This kit encourages students to engage with their history of immigration, internment during World War II and the rebuilding of lives up to the present through the exploration of photographs, archival materials, and creative activities.

    Classroom Education Kits are free to borrow, thanks to our sponsors, however a $30 fee will apply for kits that are damaged or returned late.

    There is no limit to how many classes you can introduce to this kit, however the maximum rental period is 3 weeks.
