Program Description

Overnight trips are currently suspended during covid-19, however Sasamat is open for single-day trips for up to 40 students! Programs will remain 100% outdoors and rigouros health and safety procedures have been put in place.

Choose from a variety of activities, lead by our excellent staff: canoeing, archery, kayaking, bouldering, swimming, hiking, wood chopping, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, wide games, campfire programs, team building, environmental studies and much more. Enjoy our private sand beach with expansive docks and change rooms. Our main fire pit overlooks the lake and offers the perfect way to end every day with a fun and exciting campfire program. Booking includes bagged lunches for all students and guests. Bookings recommended well in advance for spring/fall season. COVID Precautions

Sasamat Outdoor Centre has implemented a rigorous COVID-19 health and safety plan. The entire plan is publicly available on our website. Highlights of the plan include:

-Reducing capacity to allow for effective physical distancing.
-Programs and activities will remain 100% outdoors. The only inside space available will be for washroom use.
-One-way directional arrows placed in hallways and washrooms.
-Increased janitorial service/sanitization of washrooms and high-touch surfaces.
-Modifications to all activities to allow for physical distancing and sanitization of equipment between uses. Activities that do not allow for physical distancing or effective sanitization have been suspended.
-Frequent hand-washing times incorporated into schedule.
-Multiple hand sanitizer stations placed around the site.
-Parent-signed screening questionnaire for each student and adult is required for entry.
-Increased use of PPE for staff who will be in close contact with students.

Fee Notes:

Base rental of $1,865 includes admission and lunch for 40 guests. Additional guests charged at $42 each. Current maximum capacity is 40 students. 1 free teacher for every 15 students. Activity fees are charged hourly in addition to base rental fee.
