Activity Day Trips

Treat your class or group to a full day of outdoor adventure with Camp Jubilee’s popular Activity Day Trips. With 10 engaging options to choose from—including archery, voyageur canoeing, slingshots, beach study, shelter building, orienteering, and team building—students stay active while learning new skills, building confidence, and strengthening connections.

Our Standard Day Trip includes three guided activities and a nutritious lunch, with one free teacher for every 12 students. Groups looking for even more adventure can upgrade to the Extended Day Trip, which adds a campfire program and the chance for students ages 10+ to try kayaking.

Every trip includes round-trip boat transportation from Cates Park, North Vancouver, making it easy for schools to enjoy a seamless and unforgettable outdoor experience.

Camp Jubilee’s multi-day Outdoor School programs offer an inspiring place to learn, discover and play! Students become Water Rangers as they discover where their drinking water comes from! Water Rangers will learn about the water cycle and make a water necklace and a water conservation door hanger.

(Grades 2-5) Examine different types of pollutants an where they come from, and evaluate how individual actions contribute to the health of the river.

This program is divided into:

  • Introduction to the Centre, Program and Rules (5 minutes)
  • PowerPoint Presentation (10 minutes)
  • Activities (25 minutes each)
    • Swim Like Fin board game.
    • Examine how plastic pollution affects the birds around the Fraser River Basin.

A Surrey Nature Centre Guide will introduce your students to the basics of wilderness survival. In groups, they will go through challenges to unlock supplies to build their own wilderness shelters. Challenges include edible plant challenge, survival trivia, and wayfinding with a compass. The program ends with the groups presenting their survival shelters.
