Discover the subtle signs of autumn and spring in the Richmond Nature Park with a naturalist-led guided walk that covers touch, scent, sound and sight, and a visit to the Nature House. This is an out trip for preschool and elementary classes. Registration is open from August to June.

Customize your experience with our Discovery Tour!  

The Discovery Tour is adaptable for your youth education group, and is designed to be modified for groups with a variety of ages (e.g. homeschool groups) or a group for which there is no existing Education Program (e.g. high school classes). 

Choose from a set of modules to design the perfect outing for your class.

Discover the answers to these questions and more while leading your own adventure with our easy to use Discovery Kit. Bring your class for a half-day Park Program and extend your trip for the day. This is a great option for two classes from one school who want to share a bus. The Discovery Kit is a backpack containing a class set of binoculars, a detailed map, an easy to follow teaching script, fun props, engaging activities and visuals.

What can the story of Delta’s Chinatown reveal about enduring issues in Canadian history? Using archaeological and archival evidence from Delta’s Chinatown, students will explore the legacy of Canada’s policies and treatment of Chinese immigrants.

Education Kits provide your students the opportunity to explore primary source materials in the classroom. Our kits include a teacher’s manual, lesson plans, student activity sheets, archival documents and artifacts, and program materials.

Students self-navigate Playland in order to answer questions about the park’s operations. Questions are designed to get students thinking about the business aspect of running an amusement park and the factors that need to be considered when establishing its procedures and policies. The new Virtual Classroom program provides students with an opportunity to learn about the Legislative Assembly in a fun and engaging way from the comfort of their home computers or classroom. ​The interactive presentation is hosted by one of our Legislative Guides and includes lots of fun stories and many interesting photos of the Parliament Buildings from the time of its construction up to today. Students will learn about the key people who work in the Legislative Assembly, how a bill becomes a law, and the important symbols of the Legislative Assembly.​
