Ever wonder about the life inder the dock? All maner of creatures attach themselves while drifting around. We will send a camera below the surface and examine what's there.

Invertebrates make up over 90% of animal life on the planet!

Join us as we explore common marine inverts using our own collection! Students will learn about their classification, specilaized adaptations, and more.

Bring an engaging, interactive experience with Shakespeare to your online classroom! In this session, a Bard Teaching Artist will look at a speech with your class, showing your students how they would work on the text as actors. This interactive close reading will pay attention to the different features of Shakespeare’s language that inform a performance. If time permits, the actor will demonstrate different ways of delivering the speech, with input from the students.

• Where: On your school’s preferred video conferencing platform. Bard Education may also be able to host the session on Zoom; please inquire.
• When: available school days, between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm
• Length: 45 minutes long
• Cost: FREE! (Workshops are valued at $125, and all fees are covered by the Bard Education Bursary Fund for the 2020/2021 school year)

This downloadable digital school program is adapted from MOA’s in-person Transforming Image school program and is designed for teachers to deliver in-person or online. Students will encounter examples of historical and contemporary Northwest Coast First Nations paintings and be introduced to the innovative Image Recovery Project. This school program includes slide presentations, activities, and resources for teachers to implement as they see fit.

Taking inspiration from museum architecture around the world, students will learn to actively sense, observe and respond to their built environments—and to cultural institutions—in new ways. This school program includes slide presentations, activities, and resources for teachers to implement as they see fit.

• A 30 minute additional session with one of our educators focusing on Grade 5 Science and teaching the curriculum Big Idea “Earth materials change as they move through the rock cycle and can be used as natural resources.”
• Time to pick the brains of our interpreters on questions you may have about the topics you encounter on your visit.
• A support package to use onsite and in the classroom.
