Our Pumpkin Patch is located in Historic Fort Langley and just 3 minutes from Highway #1.

Our emphasis on limited bookings, animal and people comfort along with our scenic location and quiet atmosphere will leave you wishing you had known about us for years!  We are also a family run commercial dairy farm that you and your students will experience.

Jump on a bus or wrangle up some parents so you can bring your class out to the farm and pick some pumpkins!

You and your class will visit our barn that is home to over 200 animals from 10 different species.  Enjoying the colourful displays, watch cows getting milked, and learn what it takes to get milk from ‘Teat to Table’!

Classes then board a covered and fenced, tractor drawn hayride to the Pumpkin Patch and then back to the barn with the students treasured Pumpkins!.  This is a self guided tour for you and your students of the designated areas of our farm.  We promise a great experience and safety for your students and our animals.

Did you know that soil is actually extremely rare? In this truly groundbreaking field trip, students will come away understanding the important differences between soil and dirt. They’ll dig deep into the properties and composition of soil, the amendments we add, and the benefits of supporting a healthy underground ecosystem where just one tablespoon could contain 50 billion microbes! We’ll find some of the larger invertebrates commonly found at Loutet Farm and investigate the cycle of compost on-site, where we build our own soil. Your day exploring one of the most species-rich habitats on earth will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the ground beneath your feet and inspiration for building and protecting it.

Whether it’s spring, summer, or fall, there’s constantly more to discover at Loutet Farm! Seasonally, we cultivate vegetables, fruit, and flowers, both for market production and seed saving. Students will learn about the unique growing conditions that come with living in a temperate rainforest, and how we work with the seasons and adapt to changes. You’ll get a chance to identify and taste what we’re currently harvesting and learn about the organic, low-till methods we employ on the North Shore’s first urban farm. Food literacy, life cycles, and farm systems are best learned through hands-on exploration... no matter the season, your hands will be getting dirty!

The Richmond Art Gallery’s School Program introduces students of all ages to the exciting world of contemporary art through interactive gallery tours and hands-on art workshops.  Led by professional art educators, our curriculum-based programs encourage students to make personal connections with art while developing critical thinking skills and exploring diverse perspectives. Chinatown is a National Historic Site and one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Vancouver.

I'm the only guide who can take people into the heritage buildings, the only one who has a Master's degree in Chinese Canadian History, and I donate money to the Chinese associations for upkeep and renovations. I also make the elders my famous dumplings to show my appreciation and respect.
 
I don't have set times for tours. I customize my tours to what people want.

I take people to numerous clan and county association buildings, to a herbal store, to dried goods and fresh produce stores, etc. You will feel embraced by the community.

Bringing the past to you! In the comfort of your own space, Mackin House staff will lead a history lesson using PowerPoint, an activity, and a bin full of historical Artifacts. A great interactive learning experience for all ages, participants can handle and engage with artifacts, ask questions, form group discussions and enjoy fun activities related to the artifact's historical context. Topics: 1) Communication & Technology 2) Maillardville Community 1909 4) Evolution of Music 5) Pioneer Life

This program is designed for the young visitors (kindergarten up to Grade 2). Children will be provided with a one-hour group tour of the Sanctuary wetlands and trails, exploring the importance of water under the guidance of our biologist. At the discretion of the leader and teacher, this may be extended to 1.5 hours. The Sanctuary is a colourful place to visit in the fall to learn about our friendly ducks and chickadees, fascinating spiders and other waterbirds and wildlife.
